One of the biggest features of the iPad is and will be for Gaming.
Although the iPhone and iPod touch devices already had quite awesome games, the screensize and processor speed was a limiting factor.
With the iPad’s large screen display and immaculate responsiveness playing games becomes a joy.
The high resolution display and vibrant colors surpass all mobile devices I’ve seen so far.
Examples of great Games on the iPad
Racing Games
Motion sensitive racing games have always been a great hit on the Apple portable devices and these will just get better on the iPad
The Video below shows Asphalt5 from Gameloft
Educational games on the iPad for Toddlers
Another strong category of games which are being developed are educational games for the iPad.
If you’ve seen the blogpost iPad in the hands of a 2.5 year old Toddler you will see how interactive these devices can be to aid in education of young ones.
Another example of an educational game is Red Fish from FreshPlanet
Educational Games on the iPad for older kids
With the video capability and ease of app creation the iPad will also start featuring educational games or programs for older kids.
One example is “rock and learn” with the appropriate Title of “The iPad and Education”
Since the iPad has only been released for a few weeks now, Im sure the best is yet to come. I’m personally involved in the education industry and Im playing with ideas on how to use the iPad not only for gaming but also for Education (or both)
